Jesper Toft

Sandwich International is run by Managing Director Jesper Toft.

Jesper has worked for blue chip multi-national food manufacturing and retail companies, including Uniq plc., International Fish Canners and Littlewoods, before setting up a chilled sandwich manufacturing and distribution business called Toft Foods with his wife Tina in 1986. By 2001 the business was turning over in excess of £14 million ($28m) operating from a state-of-the-art 40,000 sq ft production facility on a 2.5 acre site and serving customers across the UK.

In 2001 Toft Foods was acquired by Uniq PLC (formerly Unigate) and Jesper stayed on as managing director, joining the Uniq Board as European development director. After a break in Spain, Jesper has now returned to the UK to run Sandwich International.

Trained in marketing and retail store management, Jesper has considerable experience of both big and small business management, as well as the complex issues of managing business growth, With the experience of leading a team from start-up to final sale, Jesper can offer businesses an extraordinary breadth of advice – from retailing to manufacturing.
